VAT 별도라고 미리 기재된 게 아닌 이상 거의 모든 품목에 세금이 포함되어 있는 한국과 달리, 미국에는 세금이 별도로 부과되는 경우가 많다. 예를 들어 $1.99 라고 해서 샀는데, 내가 실제로 지불하는 금액은 그것보다 많을 수 있다는 거다.
